I just love the thought that many Americans (maybe most, I don't know) just change their clocks like they're supposed to, like sheep, without a clue why.

I don't think electricity saving was why Benjamin Franklin first proposed it.
My bad, he was trying to conserve candle wax and whale harvested lamp oil. I'm working on a retraction right now. :)
